SYNTHESARC was founded by Serge Dallaire and Peter Cumyn in 2000. Serge Dallaire is a Chemical Engineer and
pursued Advanced Studies in Materials for the chemical, metallurgical and nuclear industries (Faculty of Sciences,
Orsay, France. He obtained a Ph.D in Physics from the University of Lille (France). From 1979 to 2000, Mr. Dallaire
was employed at the Industrial Materials Institute of National Research Council of Canada (NRCC) in Boucherville,
Quebec where he conducted research in a number of fields related to industrial materials and their properties.
Patents on SYNTHESARC technology are held by NRCC and Mr. Dallaire.
Since its formation, SYNTHESARC has conducted research and development both with respect to its cored wire
products and as regards the processes by which they are applied. Special solutions have been found for use in
particular applications.
